Kids are back to school, football season is here, and it’s near time to don your favorite jacket. The leaves are considering turning into the beautiful colors we enjoy in Wisconsin, and it’s a good time to plan a day trip to appreciate the Fall colors, pick pumpkins and enjoy apple cider. (Or if you prefer, pick apples and enjoy pumpkin cider …)
There are Fall festivals in many cities throughout September and October, such as October Fest in Appleton, the Cranberry Festival in Warren, the Native American Festival in Milwaukee (and many more). Also consider visiting sites unique to Wisconsin such as the Wollersheim Winery tour, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesen, and river trips on the Wisconsin River or Mississippi. The historic Wade House in Greenbush holds a Civil War reenactment at the end of September, if American history piques your interest. There’s so much Wisconsin has to offer this time of year.
