Amber Schroeder – Executive Director

Amber Schroeder comes to the Association with a wealth of experience at the national, state and local levels. Amber worked for Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce as the Director of Membership and has lead the organization to record breaking membership years and also managed the Business Day in Madison program, the state’s largest business lobby day, annually bringing 1,000 top executives to the Capitol.

Prior to joining, WMC Amber served as Senior Director of member relations for the Detroit Regional Chamber where she created a service oriented membership department and developed new programs and services to drive member satisfaction.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Amber worked for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington DC, where she worked with volunteer leaders to grow the Institute for Organization Management program across the country. She worked on other events and programs such as America’s Small Business Summit, the Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100 and the Association Committee of 100.

Jane Algiers – Director of Events & Publications

Jane Algiers is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of association experience, as well as a wealth of knowledge in event planning, graphic design, member relations, marketing and grassroots communication.

Before joining our team, she was employed by Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce as Associate Director of Membership and Government Relations where she was responsible for external relations with association members, elected officials, legislative staff, state associations, and local chambers of commerce. Jane was the director of WMC’s flagship legislative conference, Business Day in Madison, for ten years. She also has political fundraising experience, as well as experience in video production and photography. She attended Edgewood College and Madison College.

Chad Lawler – Director of Government Affairs & Advocacy

Chad Lawler is an experienced and accomplished legal and government affairs professional who assists clients on local, county, state and federal issues.

Prior to joining our team, Mr. Lawler worked as a contract lobbyist and practicing attorney.  As a contract Lobbyist he advocated on behalf of his clients before the Wisconsin State Legislature, state agencies and the executive office. Further, he assisted clients in advocacy, strategic planning and issue management. Mr. Lawler is an experienced business leader and counselor who understands the needs of businesses and associations in Wisconsin. Mr. Lawler is experienced in event planning, fund raising, association administration, contract negotiations, and political, legislative and administrative research and analysis.

As an attorney, he worked across a variety of fields of the law, including assisting builders in contractual agreements and zoning disputes.  Prior to his legal practice, Mr. Lawler worked for several years as a Manager for a Global Fortune 500 Company, where he was responsible for sales, management, and growth of five corporate offices and supervision of over twenty associates.

He resides in Madison with his wife, Kelly; son, Reid; and daughter, Avery. His interests include politics, traveling, camping, and local sports teams (Badgers, Packers and Brewers).

Brit McCoy – Membership Coordinator

Brit McCoy joins the Association with a background in the building industry. Brit currently practices landscape design and has additional exposure to the industry through her father’s custom woodworking business.

Before joining the association Brit attended Iowa State University and has been a part of the landscape industry for 10 years. As a business owner herself Brit understands some of the struggles that business owners face when it comes to marketing and networking. She strives to connect our members with all the services the association has to offer in order to better themselves and their businesses.
