Chad Lawler – Executive Director

Chad Lawler is an experienced and accomplished legal and government affairs professional who assists clients on local, county, state and federal issues.

Prior to joining our team, Mr. Lawler worked as a contract lobbyist and practicing attorney.  As a contract Lobbyist he advocated on behalf of his clients before the Wisconsin State Legislature, state agencies and the executive office. Further, he assisted clients in advocacy, strategic planning and issue management. Mr. Lawler is an experienced business leader and counselor who understands the needs of businesses and associations in Wisconsin. Mr. Lawler is experienced in event planning, fund raising, association administration, contract negotiations, and political, legislative and administrative research and analysis.

As an attorney, he worked across a variety of fields of the law, including assisting builders in contractual agreements and zoning disputes.  Prior to his legal practice, Mr. Lawler worked for several years as a Manager for a Global Fortune 500 Company, where he was responsible for sales, management, and growth of five corporate offices and supervision of over twenty associates.

He resides in Madison with his wife, Kelly; son, Reid; and daughter, Avery. His interests include politics, traveling, camping, and local sports teams (Badgers, Packers and Brewers).

Lisa Kratz, Operations Manager

Lisa Kratz joined MABA in July 2018 as the Operations Manager. She comes to us with an extensive background in non-profit accounting and contract management.

Prior to joining us Lisa worked for the Wisconsin Partnership for Housing Development, a 501(c)(3) in Madison, WI, for over 23 years. As their Chief Financial Officer she provided all accounting functions for the organization and its subsidiaries, including financial statement preparation, budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and participation in the annual audit. As their Director of Operations she managed down payment and rehab loan programs that provided over $55 Million to over 10,000 Wisconsin households, and consulted with many cities, counties, and states on their federally funded programs.

Lisa is a graduate of Edgewood College in Madison, WI with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
